At the ongoing FIFA Women World Cup, the Super Falcons crashed out of the tournament after a 3-0 loss to Germany on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

This will be the second time the Super Falcons will be getting to the round of 16 in the world cup, the last time was in 1999.

The African Champions put up a good fight but conceived two goals within few minutes in the first half of the game which ended 2-0 at the end of first half.

The third goal came in the second half as a poor pass which landed on the feet of a German player who wasted no time to put the ball at the back of the net.

The second goal, which was a penalty seems to be controversial because some football pundits do not think it should have been a penalty.

Super Falcons qualified from Group A to the round of 16 as best losers.
